How a water vapour fireplace works
Water from the built-in tank is turned into a fine mist, which rises through the log set and is lit from below. The result looks like smoke and flame moving in three dimensions, while the mist itself stays cool.
Because there is no combustion, a water vapour fireplace needs no flue, no gas connection and no ventilation for fumes. It plugs into a standard socket.
Where they are used
Hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and apartments where an open flame is not allowed or a chimney is not possible. The cool mist makes them a common choice for public spaces and homes with children.
Kormist models are built to EN IEC 60335-2-30 and Directive (EU) 2015/1188 and carry the CE mark.

Frequently asked questions
Does a water vapour fireplace give off heat?
The flame effect itself is cool mist. If you need heat as well, our Korcam and Kormet electric inserts are available with a built-in heater (the "S" models).
Does it need a chimney or ventilation?
No. Nothing burns, so there are no fumes to remove. It needs a power socket and a water supply for its tank.
Which sizes are available?
Kormist: 70, 100, 130, 150 and 180 cm wide. 3D electric fireplace: 70, 100 and 150 cm.
Are they certified for the European market?
Kormist fireplaces are built to EN IEC 60335-2-30 and Directive (EU) 2015/1188 and are CE marked. Test reports are available on request.
